Surprise! Jeans Greens Flowers will be back up and running within the next few months! If you have known me at all this past year, you know that after I graduated high school, I left for Kansas State University to major in Agronomy which I quickly switched to Horticulture. My plans for the future were not at all directed toward coming back home to Florida to do floristry. I wanted to farm crops like corn and soybean in Kansas once I graduated. For the past year, while I did gain a lot of agricultural knowledge that could help me with crop farming OR floristry, I found that unfortunately, the environment was not best for my health (mental and physical). I turned back to the sunshine in Florida and enrolled for the next semester at my local community college, Valencia. This was, of course, a big decision. But with my family and friends' support, I felt it was the better choice (not to mention way cheaper than university).
So now that I'm back, I hope to get Jeans Greens Flowers up and running even bigger than before within the next few months! My time frame is also dependent upon obtaining special tax forms and actually registering as a business through the city. It is definitely a learning curve (and definitely not my favorite part of the job) but it's one of the most important parts of my job and ensures that I can actually keep doing what I love! For now, I've been enjoying all the cuddles with my cat Colby and researching everything I need to do to start back up ASAP. I can't wait to be available for your flower needs in the near future :)
Till next time!
